Settlement School to conduct Free Software Awareness Program on September 12,
2007.
7. Linux Training Program
One day Certificate programme on LINUX
was conducted on August 11, 2007. Mr. Vimal Joseph, Senior Software Engineer, SPACE, Thiruvananthapuram
was the Resource person.
8. LATEX Workshop
A workshop on LATEX was
held on 7th March 2007.
Mr.Sanjay Varma of Beta Computers handled classes.
9. FOSS in Science
FOSS in Science, a three day
National Workshop was held during 4 to 6 of January 2007. The National Workshop
was inaugurated by Dr. P K Abdul Azis, Vice-Chancellor, CUSAT. 75 delegates from
different states of India attended the workshop. We were privileged to have 10
eminent speakers. The concluding function included cultural activities and a
theme based skit.
The primary objective of the workshop was to make the
community more aware of the vast possibilities of FOSS and to establish a
community in which information will be freely exchanged.
